Lotus Elite Type 14 Custom Fibreglass Panels

At MK14 Components, we are very fortunate to have the original Tony Bates body moulds for the Lotus Elite Type 14 which enables us to not only create complete car bodies but also gives us the flexibility to make custom individual panels or sections when needed.

Recently, we had a request from a customer who needed two specific components. Their build needed an inside engine bay right side panel, and a rear bulkhead panel. 

Using our in-house facilities, we couldn’t be more keen to help – producing both panels directly from our moulds to give our customer’s pride and joy the exact fit and correct factory finish. This level of precision is only possible when you’re working from original forms.

Our workshop is fully equipped with GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) facilities which allows us to reproduce almost any fibreglass Type 14 panel whether that’s a single replacement panel for your restoration project, or even a Complete Body Unit (CBU) for an even more significant re-build.

Depending on your project, we can make and supply these body parts and panels in standard construction or lightweight specifications, ideal for competition or performance cars.
